Nancy Kattoula is a Spanish teacher at Walled Lake Central High School. Nancy has been teaching spanish for 18 years and enjoys helping her students pursue their passions. Her favorite part about teaching is having the opportunity to empower students to excel in and out of the classroom. She prides herself on giving her students the extra help they need to succeed. In 2015, Nancy helped her students create The Giving Tree whose mission is to bring joy to people in need locally and globally through acts of service. The Giving Trees most notable projects have been providing thousands of socks to the homeless and making over 750 blankets for Fleece & Thank You. Nancy has always had a passion for community service and knew she wanted to invest her time with Fleece & Thank You after delivering blankets to Mercy Children’s Hospital on Christmas Eve. She was touched by the joy and encouragement these blankets brought the children and their parents during such a difficult time. Nancy began her work with Fleece & Thank You as our hospital coordinator and transitioned as the chair of our board. She has loved having the opportunity to lead our team of advisors while continuing to help us have successful events, especially in the public school system.
