Comforting Kiddos Since 2015
Our aim is to provide a consistent, sustainable service of fleece blankets to our pediatric hospital partners, ensuring every child who is admitted for an inpatient stay has a colorful, comfortable fleece blanket with a video message of support.
Our Hyclean certified process allows us to bring our blankets to a 99.999% germ-free state before individually wrapping each one to be delivered to one of our hospital partners.
We primarily work with our Michigan hospital partners, but occasionally we do delivery to other states when groups around the country making blankets wish to keep their comfort local.

We have a vision and goal to provide a consistent service of blankets to all pediatric beds in Michigan, approx. 30,000 blankets per year.
Our greater goal is to scale the model to provide this comfort consistently across all states around the country, amounting to 151,000 blankets in the Midwest and ultimately approx. 964,000 nationwide.

Our Process
We strive for our hospital blanket delivery service to be a five-star experience for our hospital partners, ensuring we are delivering the correct amount of blankets at consistent and preferred times for our points of contact.

Step #1
Community groups and corporations around the country host blanket making events, engaging members on-site, remotely, or both!

Blankets are sent/dropped off back to the F&TY facility for quality control and washing/drying, bringing them to 99.999% germ free before they are individually wrapped and packaged.

On an established, recurring frequency, blankets are delivered to our hospital partners across the state at the time and cadence that works for their team to ensure they always have enough blankets on hand for patients.
Delivering 99.999% Germ-Free Fleece Blankets
The HyClean Certification is given to HyClean Certified Facilities that utilize products which provide an additional level of protection by lending residual self-sanitizing properties. Routine audits from a highly trained UNX service representative are being made to ensure that proper operating procedures are being executed and ensure your health is protected.
The standard wash process* is effective in killing the coronavirus and ensuring your linen comes out hygienically clean. This is good news. Unfortunately, however, the linen still has to be handled numerous times as it makes its way back into circulation. These properties ensure that your linen remains hygienically clean once it leaves the laundry and makes its way to a hospital bed for a patient.
*i.e. appropriate combinations of chemicals, pH, water, temperature, water transfers, and mechanical action
Other States We Have Provided Comfort
We partner with groups around the country to create comfort for kiddos in the hospital. For our out-of-Michigan events, we offer an easy-return label process where blankets come back to us for quality control and washing/drying. There are, however, some cases where we partner to deliver comfort locally at the children’s hospital closest to the group making blankets. These are coordinated on a case-by-case basis and dependent on local hospital regulations for donating handmade items.
