Vacation Bible School 2023

Fleece & Thank You is teaming up with Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church’s Vacation Bible School to make comfort for kids in the hospital.

Members and participants of Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church and Vacation Bible School are invited to make blankets and video messages that will go to kids in the hospital.

There are two ways to support:

Option #1

Order your kits directly through this page and have them shipped right to your front door. You can order kits at any time you’d like. The default shipping option will be “Rosedale Gardens Group Event.” All kits ordered using this shipping type will be picked up in bulk by the team at Rosedale Gardens in advance of an in-person event.

After finishing your blankets you can either ship them back to Fleece & Thank You OR you can contact Lisa Adams, ladams@rosedalegardens.org, to collect blankets in at Rosedale Gardens to drop off at Fleece & Thank You. Rosedale Gardens asks that all blankets be completed by August 20th!

Option #2

Donate to the group fundraising page, even if you don’t have time to make the blankets yourself. Members can contribute any amount of money; it all counts! Every $30 contributes toward another blanket to be made by the group for a child in the hospital.

Let’s Make a Difference During This Time

The Fleece & Thank You Blanket Kit allows the blanket makers to record a video message that goes to the patient who receives the blanket. The patient can then send a message back to the maker. We are excited to feel our own sense of connection during this time while also being able to give connection to kids in the hospital.

Our blanket kit is much more than just the fleece. Our blanket kit is an inspirational experience for the sick child, paid forward by you and made by your hands.

Your purchase of our blanket kits helps us cover the entire process of blanket delivery from raw materials to hospital bed. Instead of purchasing fabric at the fabric store, purchasing the kit from us is a critical part to keeping our service to hospitals sustainable.

Our kits are unique in the way they provide comfort to kids in the hospital!

  • The most impactful part of our blankets is the video message that goes along with them from the makers. At a time when children are missing their friends and becoming disconnected, we give them a friendly face and message of support.
  • These are the central source of funding for our mission. Where a fabric store sells you just the fleece, our kits are an all-inclusive donation that gets the blanket from the maker’s hands to a hospital bed with a video message for the warrior receiving it.
  • Our blanket kits are a special part of the process because they have the unique tag already pressed onto them that carries your video message with the blanket.
  • The cost per kit is $30, and that donation helps cover everything from fleece to video to hospital delivery and gives each sick child comfort for their hospital journey and a friendly face of support in a video.
  • Our kits are made in our warehouse by a group of young adults and adults with disabilities. It is our goal to employ them full-time soon, and the purchase of our kits supports that secondary mission.
  • With 22 hospital partnerships across the state, we deliver your blanket to the next children’s unit in Michigan with kiddos that need your comfort.
